Anholt
Sunset at the campsite beach.

Anholt is an isolated island in the middle of the Kattegat, roughly halfway between Denmark and Sweden. The ferry from Grenaa takes about 3 hours to reach Anholt.

The island consists of a forested moraine ridge (up to 48m high) with a long, relatively flat and barren 'tail' to the east of it. There are two villages, a church, two supermarkets, a rescue station, a primary school, an airfield, a campsite and about 143 inhabitants.
